Dr. Pettigrew's rate is $240 per hour, which is the recommended rate set by the Psychologists' Association of Alberta. If you have extended health care benefits, your insurance plan may provide full or partial coverage for psychological services. Psychological services are also considered health services when filing your yearly taxes. Insurance companies will not be billed directly; you will be provided with detailed invoices and receipts so that you can readily seek coverage for your expenses. Please check with your insurance company directly to obtain information about coverage for your family.
For assessments, a deposit of $500 is required at the first appointment, and the balance is due at the feedback session. The assessment report will be released once final payment is made.
Cash, cheque, Visa and Mastercard are accepted for payment. Payment must be made at the time of your appointment.
The law protects the relationship between a client and psychologist, and information from your discussions with the psychologist can not be disclosed without your written permission.

In these rare situations, Dr. Pettigrew is legally required to disclose confidential information. Before taking any action, Dr. Pettigrew would attempt to discuss her intentions with you and would limit disclosure of confidential information to the minimum necessary to ensure safety.
Privacy and confidentiality issues are always discussed at your first appointment. At that time, please let Dr. Pettigrew know if you have any specific questions or concerns.
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact Dr. Pettigrew as soon as possible. If notification is not provided at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the missed appointment.
